ASH Treating Fairly Initiative - Topics Nomination

ASH invites members at large to nominate ideas and topics for the new Treating Fairly Initiative. This pilot program is modeled after the highly successful Choosing Wisely initiative and is led by the Subcommittee on Stewardship and Systems-Based Hematology along with the support of the Health Equity Task Force.

Treating Fairly is defined as providing equitable care to all patients. This involves ensuring that every individual receives the same high standard of care, regardless of their race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or socioeconomic status. Our commitment to fairness involves recognizing and addressing the unique needs and challenges faced by different groups. By doing so, we aim to eliminate disparities in healthcare outcomes by ensuring that everyone has access to the resources and support they need to achieve optimal health.

Topics and/or ideas submitted for nomination will be evaluated for inclusion into a list of focus areas to highlight and promote quality improvement projects that alleviate healthcare inequities in hematologic care.

It will take approximately 8 minutes to complete the survey. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary.

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, you may contact quality@hematology.org.

Thank you very much for your time and support. Please start with the survey now by clicking on the Next button below.
